Art as Prayer
A gathering place for art, prayer, and renewal. Reflections and creative practices for deep living in a shallow-breathing world.
What is Art as Prayer?
Art as Prayer is a Substack publication, a gathering place for slowing down, breathing deeply, and practicing creativity as prayer. If you're tired of shallow breathing, hungry for honest spirituality, or simply craving permission to slow down and create, this is for you.
This community space is for vibrant, honest engagement with ourselves, with God, and with one another, as we practice resisting the systems that tell us to move faster, produce more, and numb what we feel.

Meet Justine
I’m an artist and spiritual director who believes that integrating creativity with prayer opens access for us to breathe more deeply in a world that keeps us gasping for air.
In addition to Art as Prayer and The Living Mood Board, I create original paintings and commissioned artwork, and I offer spiritual direction and facilitate group gatherings that weave creativity and spirituality together.
